Webster's Dictionary defines docent as a tour guide or lecturer, as at a museum. We define docent as the person who brings our museum to life for our visitors.

At the Arts & Science Center, docents are considered to be unpaid professionals of the Education Department who enjoy learning about the arts and sciences, and, most importantly, enjoy sharing that interest and knowledge with others.
