Stuart Little

Auditions for all cast members will be Saturday, Jan. 28th from 1-3 p.m. and Tuesday, February 7th from 6-8 p.m., no appointment necessary. Monologues are appreciated but not required.

Performancs will be held April 26th through 29th, 2012.

Stuart Little, written by E.B. White and adapted to the stage by Joseph Robinette, is the timeless story of a family who has been given the gift of a new son… who happens to be a mouse. While the Little’s newest family member is no more than a few inches high, complete with whiskers and a tail, he has an indomitable spirit. Stuart is a courageous and adventurous lad who looks to take on any challenge – even Snowbell, the family cat.

While Stuart takes on the challenge of being the smallest member of his family, he also deals with the prejudices of being a mouse in a man sized world. Stuart’s family looks to protect him, but the young mouse quickly proves he is nothing to squeak at as he shows them he can be a contributing member of the family. He fearlessly tackles dangerous jobs like retrieving his mother’s lost wedding ring down the bathroom drain and standing up to Snowbell to protect his new best friend, a wounded bird named Margalow.

As Stuart sets out to seek his fortune, he teaches the finest lesson of all: courage and hope are enough to give you strength in a scary world. Stuart masters travel in many forms and finds himself deep in the heart of challenging territory as he discovers the greatness within him.

Through success and failure, trials and tribulations, experiences and adventures, Stuart takes hold of the hearts of the audience members and reminds us to believe in ourselves. The story of Stuart Little is truly a tale you won’t soon forget. Join us as we unfold the saga of the smallest member of the Little family as he answers the question: am I a man or a mouse?

Timothy Rhoades directs with Assistant Director David Fleming.
