Small Works on Paper

July 9-Aug. 25 in the Kennedy Gallery

Now in its 23rd year, the Small Works on Paper is an annual juried exhibition sponsored by the Arkansas Arts Council. This year’s exhibition presents 39 works by 39 Arkansas artists. Included in the exhibit are watercolors, drawings, photographs and original prints.

More than 300 entries were submitted and juried by Suzanne Bloom, a professor of art at the University of Houston.  Bloom is the recipient of two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and has served as juror for numerous national and local organizations. The juror selects the artwork and designates pieces for purchase awards. Pieces selected for purchase awards become part of the exhibition’s permanent collection.

Among the artists with artwork in this year’s exhibition are Tom Richard from Monticello, Robin Young from Malvern and Aaron Calvert and Donnie Copeland from Arkadelphia.
