October 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. marked the opening of Art Meets Science Through Architecture, sponsored by Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Talbot Capital Management, and The Reed Architectural Firm. Arkansas First Lady, Ginger Beebe, was present for the ribbon cutting.

This exhibition showcases the artworks of Don Ashley Reed and features buildings in Jefferson County that were designed by the men associated with, what is today, the Reed Architectural Firm including Mitchell Selligman, Don Ashley Reed, James Willis, Willard Burks, and Fred Reed. Among the properties featured are the Jefferson County Court House, the Civic Center, Grider Field Municipal Airport, and Taylor Field. For this exhibit we’ve mapped a driving tour that highlights several of the buildings in the exhibit.
