Adult Cooking Classes

Learn to cook like a pro or at least how to eat like one! Enjoy watching Southeast Arkansas’ best chefs share their culinary secrets in a series of summer cooking classes. Map out your summer cuisine with classes on “Summer Grilling,” “Summer Salads,” “Summer Mixed Drinks and Wines” and “Summer Cooking from the Farmer’s Market.” Learn how to make your summers sizzle. Or, just sit back and enjoy. Classes will take place in the Trinity Episcopal Church kitchen???.
Mapping the World and Beyond
Science Camp
1-4 p.m. Monday-Friday, July 12-16
Ages: K-6th grades
Cost: $120/members or $155/non-members which includes single membership
Calling all budding geologists and scientists! Spend a week and navigate the whole world and beyond! Start the week, by mapping Pine Bluff. Learn all about geocaching and, with a trusty guide, locate the caches hidden around downtown Pine Bluff. Then map out what happens to our waste! Take a tour of the wastewater treatment plant and create a recycling project. Next navigate aboard a (pretend) ship and learn about weather, water and the world of the deep oceans. Finally, map a course for space and chart satellites in the sky. The fun doesn’t stop there. Participants will enjoy a week of tantalizing, eye-popping experiments that will have their heads spinning.

A summer-long program for organizations, daycare centers, vacation Bible schools and day camps – any group is welcome. Participants tour the Center and then participate in an arts and science workshop led by qualified staff. Program lasts 1.5 hours. Minimum of 10 participants required. Class choices include “NanoDays,” “Mask-Making,” “Geocaching Adventures” or “Theater Games.”

Saturday and Summer Scholars
Saturday and Summer Scholars is a unique learning program for kids in grades K-6. The goal of this program is to provide extra challenges and opportunities for gifted learners. The program uses certified teachers to serve as instructors.
Saturday Scholars takes place periodically during throughout the year. Each session is based on a separate topic, so students can attend as many as they wish.
Student pre-registration is required for all classes.
