Teacher Workshops
Teacher workshops are designed to introduce teachers to Center programs and provide them with ways to weave programs into their curricula. The Arts & Science Center, in cooperation with area school boards and the Arkansas River Educational Service Cooperative (ARESC), provide this staff development training to Jefferson County teachers.
The Education Department is always planning new workshops for teachers.
For more information, please call 870-536-3375.
Would You Like to Teach a Class at the Center?
We ask certified and enthusiastic teachers to either teach or assist other teachers during our many youth programs, most of which occur during the summer. We also will begin adult art classes in the coming year.
Teaching at the Center can be a way for you to try fun new things in a different environment or a chance for you to work with students you may not normally have in your classroom. All Center classes are hands-on and challenging, with a focus on the sciences and the arts. For Class Proposal Applications or for an application to be an assistant, For more information, call 870-536-3375.
